Aanandee Tripathi was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and completed higher education through Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University in 1994. Her father is Shubhash Chandra Tripathi, a retired government employee. She grew up with a sister and a brother and has long described acting as an ambition from childhood.

Career

Tripathi relocated from Indore to Mumbai in 2000 to pursue work in films. Her first break came soon after when she was cast in a Kannada feature, Indradhanush (2000). Early industry contacts and a family connection to film professionals helped open doors: a meeting arranged when she was in school led to an advertisement opportunity connected to filmmaker B. R. Chopra.

She moved between regional and Hindi cinema throughout the 2000s. In 2001 she appeared in the Hindi film Aashiq and also took on a role in the Gujarati picture Maiyar Ma Mandu Nathi Lagtu, where she was associated with the character name Ratan. Over the following years Tripathi appeared in a string of Gujarati productions including Mandavda Ropavo Mana Raj (2003), Toran Bandhao Ho Raaj (2003), Mane Lai De Ne Navrang Chundadi (2004), and the sequel Maiyar Ma Mandu Nathi Lagtu 2 (2008).

Her Hindi film work during this period included Hawayein (2003) and Vishwas (2005). In 2010 she played the lead in the Gujarati film Mara Rudiye Rangana Tame Saajana alongside Hitu Kanodia and Naresh Kanodia. She continued to return to both screen formats, with credits such as Vidhata (2012) and a special appearance in Suhagan Shobhe Sasariye (2013).

Tripathi expanded into television in the 2010s. She appeared on the Life OK series Nagarjun and on Star Plus in Ishqbaaz in 2016. In 2018 she worked on the Zee TV serials Woh Apna Sa and Yeh Teri Galiyan and also featured in the web series Chu Chu Ka Murabba. More recent film work includes the Gujarati release Halkie Fulkee (2021). In 2024 she portrayed Kaushalya in the televised Shrimad Ramayan on Sony Entertainment Television.
