Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh was born on 20 September 1975 in Lohanipur, Patna, and grew up in the Bihar towns of Patna and Daudpur, Jehanabad. He completed his schooling in Patna and went on to graduate from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi. His parents are Chandrasekhar Singh, who worked at the Reserve Bank of India in Patna, and Shanti Singh.
