Aditya Motwane was born on 3 May and grew up in Mumbai, where he completed his bachelor’s degree at H. R. College of Commerce and Economics. He also undertook a business administration course through the Entrepreneur Management Development Institute, an institute affiliated with IIM Ahmedabad. Motwane comes from a Sindhi family; his mother is named Sushma Motwane.

Motwane began his career working with his family business, Motwane Private Limited, a company that provided a mix of services including corporate event management, private celebrations and weddings, as well as equipment and products such as public address systems, security alarms and electronic sirens. In 1999 he joined Percept Limited as a production executive.
