Career

Ahmad’s interest in performing began very young. He started attending auditions when he was around four years old and persisted through many rejections before landing professional work. His on-screen debut came at about age six: he played the young Captain Kabir Kaul in the Hindi romantic drama Notebook, which released in March 2019.

After Notebook, Ahmad expanded his experience with fashion shows and commercials, and in 2021 he appeared in the music video “Bas Ek Tera Main Hoke,” released on Zee Music Company’s YouTube channel. He has also been featured in advertising for brands including a clothing line named Turtle.

The role that brought him widespread attention arrived in 2022 when he was cast as the young Laal in the Bollywood film Laal Singh Chaddha, the Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump. He auditioned for the part when producers were searching for a fresh face and, following selection, took part in training sessions, workshops, and interviews to prepare for the role. In the film Ahmad portrayed a physically disabled Sikh boy, a part that required intensive commitment during filming. Ahmad has spoken about demanding on-set routines, describing days that began in the early morning and finished late in the evening.
