Alisha Parveen Khan was born on 4 July 1998 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Raised in an environment that encouraged the performing arts, she has said that her mother played an important role in nurturing her interest in theatre from a young age. Alisha completed her schooling at Auxilium Convent High School in Mumbai and went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree from MMK College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.

Alisha Parveen entered the entertainment industry with a supporting part in the Hindi film Talvar (2015), playing the character Shruti Tandon.
