Avinash Dwivedi was born on 19 August 1988 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Raised in a family from that region, he attended schools in Delhi, including Cosmos Public School in Badarpur and Raisina Bengali Senior Secondary School. From a young age he gravitated toward dance, competing in school events and pursuing formal training in the art. A childhood viewing of Kaho Naa... Dwivedi began working as a dance teacher in Delhi and used earnings from teaching to fund theatre workshops and further training.
