Bhavani Rajput Biography

Bhavani Rajput is an Indian professional kabaddi raider from Harda, Madhya Pradesh. Standing about 6'2", he moved from local club training to the Pro Kabba

Early life and background
Bhavani Rajput (full name Bhawani Singh Rajput) was born on 14 May 1995 in Harda, Madhya Pradesh. Raised in a farming family, he spent his early years in a joint household where his father worked in agriculture. Bhavani completed engineering studies; during college his height and athletic potential led friends to suggest he try kabaddi.

Career
Bhavani began formal kabaddi training after an initial setback in college-level selection. He enrolled at Vikram Sports Club in Indore and later joined Star Academy in Jabalpur to sharpen his skills. His professional breakthrough came with his Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) debut in 2017.

In PKL season 5 he was picked up by Tamil Thalaivas and featured in four matches. After limited impact in that season, he did not find a PKL berth for seasons 6 and 7 and focused on training and local competition. A 2020 local tournament saw him suffer a dislocated elbow, an injury that brought his sporting choice to his family’s attention and prompted them to advise he prioritize studies and a conventional career path.

Bhavani returned to the PKL stage when Tamil Thalaivas signed him again for season 8 (2021). That season he played 21 matches and recorded 50 raid points from 111 raids, including one Super Raid. He represented Madhya Pradesh at the 69th Senior National Kabaddi Championship in 2022.

He joined Jaipur Pink Panthers for PKL season 9 in 2022, appearing in 14 matches and scoring 36 raid points as the team went on to win the title. Jaipur Pink Panthers retained him for PKL season 10 (2023); across 20 matches that year he tallied 62 raid points, including a Super Raid and a Super 10 performance.

Playing style and influences
Bhavani plays as a right raider. At approximately 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) tall, his height has been a notable asset in his raiding game. He cites Ajay Thakur as an inspirational figure and also admires Cristiano Ronaldo among sportspersons.

Public profile
Bhavani keeps a public presence through social media under the name Bhavani Singh Rajput. He has mentioned simple personal tastes such as enjoying muesli and seviyan kheer, and he likes to watch films and travel in his downtime. One travel destination he has expressed a wish to visit is Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir.

Personal
As of 2024 Bhavani is unmarried. He has said that had he not pursued kabaddi professionally, he would have worked as an engineer. His family learned about his kabaddi career only after he secured a place in the Pro Kabaddi League.

Latest updates
In PKL season 10 (2023) Bhavani remained with Jaipur Pink Panthers and delivered one of his stronger statistical seasons with 62 raid points and match-defining contributions including a Super Raid and a Super 10. Earlier seasons of note include his 2021 return with Tamil Thalaivas, when he played 21 matches and recorded 50 raid points.
