Dr Vivek Joshi (YouTuber) Biography

Dr Vivek Joshi is an Indian-trained Ayurvedic doctor based in Russia who shares health, weight-loss and beauty advice through social media. Trained in BAMS

Early life and background

Dr Vivek Joshi was born on September 14 in Uttarakhand, India. He completed his Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Rishikul State Ayurvedic University in Haridwar. He has further specialised in Ayurvedic massage techniques and yoga.

Career

Joshi began his professional career in India, where in 2008 he worked with government health services in Uttarakhand. During that period he took part in childhood immunisation efforts, including polio vaccination campaigns, and received a certificate from the government recognising his service as an Ayurvedic practitioner.

After leaving India, Joshi relocated to Russia. In 2013 he joined the Aryan East-West Clinic as an Ayurvedic specialist, where his clinical focus has included conditions such as lumbosacral sciatica and arthritis. In addition to clinical work, he organises lectures on Ayurveda and Panchakarma across Russia.

Digital presence and media

Joshi expanded his practice into social media to reach a wider audience. He created a Facebook page on 30 July 2018 and launched a YouTube channel on 20 July 2018. On YouTube he publishes weekly videos, often uploaded on Thursdays, that blend Ayurvedic explanations—such as balancing the doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha—with practical guidance on weight loss, beauty and general wellbeing. He also posts motivational content alongside medical information.

His digital reach has grown substantially: by December 2022 his Facebook page had over 334,000 followers, his Instagram account had more than 22,700 followers, and his YouTube channel had exceeded 1.69 million subscribers.

Media appearances and business ventures

In 2019 Joshi appeared on a national television program in Russia to discuss the health benefits of turmeric mixed with milk. In 2022 he launched an online Ayurvedic storefront called We Herbal, offering organic and Ayurvedic products with worldwide shipping.

Public profile

Joshi maintains an active public profile that combines clinical practice, public talks and an extensive social media presence. He travels frequently and frequently conducts public lectures and demonstrations in Moscow and elsewhere in Russia.

Latest updates

Recent developments include the founding of his online store We Herbal in 2022 and continued regular content production on his YouTube channel and social platforms.
