Early life and backgroundBorn Siddharth Yadav on 14 September 1997 in Gurgaon, Haryana, he later adopted the name Elvish to honour his elder brother, who had once wanted that name. Raised in Gurgaon, Elvish attended Amity International School, Gurgaon, and went on to study at Hansraj College, Delhi, where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is Indian by nationality and identifies as a vegetarian.
Career
Elvish began uploading videos to YouTube in 2016 and built an audience with short comedy sketches and roast-style content delivered in a Desi Haryanvi accent. By February 2018 he had reached one million subscribers, and his main channel surpassed 10 million subscribers by 2023. In 2019 he launched a second channel for vlogs.
In music, Elvish made his singer debut with the track "Apna Gaav" in 2020 and later appeared in music videos, including the DG Immortals project "Bad Guy (DG)" in October 2022 and Parmish Verma and DG Immortals' "Panja Daab" in March 2023.
Elvish has diversified his public work beyond video content. He runs a clothing label called Systumm Clothing and operates the Elvish Yadav Foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on education for underprivileged children and meal support for those in need. His on-screen presence and off-screen ventures have contributed to a visible public profile and significant social media followings.
Reality TV and public appearances
Elvish entered mainstream reality television as a wild-card contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 2 in July 2023 and went on to win the season in August 2023. Following that, he appeared on other televised formats: he took part in the reality dating show Temptation Island India in November 2023 and later joined MTV Roadies Double Cross in October 2024 as one of the gang leaders.
Public profile
Elvish is known for a flamboyant lifestyle and a visible collection of vehicles and property. Reported holdings include several cars spanning mainstream and luxury brands, a Royal Enfield Classic 350 motorcycle, a large house in Gurugram and a 4BHK residence in Dubai. He is frequently seen wearing high-end labels and has described himself as a movie enthusiast.
His social media presence is substantial, with multi-million followings across platforms. He also maintains a close bond with a pet dog named Mark.
Controversies and legal matters
Elvish's public life has included multiple controversies and legal challenges. In March 2023 a viral video led to online allegations related to stolen property that he denied and for which he said he intended to take legal action. In late 2023 and into 2024 he faced allegations and legal proceedings connected to rave parties where snakes and snake venom were reportedly involved; those events resulted in police action, an arrest in March 2024, a later grant of bail, and subsequent law-enforcement steps including an Enforcement Directorate summons and asset seizure related to exotic-animal use. He has publicly denied culpability for supplying snakes or venom, while also saying he would accept responsibility if any connection were proved.
Other incidents that drew attention include physical altercations: in February 2024 he was seen in a restaurant incident in Jaipur and later in March 2024 he was involved in a widely reported confrontation with fellow YouTuber Sagar Thakur (Maxtern), which led to police complaints. In 2025 an FIR was filed alleging threats toward a witness connected to the Noida rave-party matter.
Personal life
Elvish is unmarried. He has an elder sister, Komal Yadav, and his parents are Ram Avtar Singh Yadav, a lecturer, and Sushma Yadav, a homemaker. He has described himself as inspired by other Indian YouTubers and has spoken about aspirations that once included working in the government sector.
