Early life and background
Gajendra Verma was born on 20 April 1990 in Sirsa, Haryana. Raised in a family with a strong artistic bent, he began singing as a small child and received his earliest musical guidance from his father and elder brother rather than formal conservatory training. At age 11 he moved to Jaipur for schooling, attending Army School Jaipur, and later pursued sound engineering studies at the SAE Institute in Mumbai.

Career
Verma's recording career began in the late 2000s. His song that gained widespread attention in 2008 introduced his voice to a broad audience and became closely associated with an emotional narrative that circulated with the track. He later asserted his authorship and copyright over that composition. Over the years he continued to release songs and grew his profile as a composer, lyricist and playback singer.

His repertoire includes a series of popular singles such as Phir Suna, Mann Mera (from Table No. 21), Baarish (from Yaariyan), Tera Hi Rahun and Mera Jahan. In 2018 he scored renewed attention when his song Tera Ghata, which featured actress Karishma Sharma in its visual, became a trending track and achieved rapid popularity online.

Verma has also worked behind the scenes in music production; his elder brother has supported and produced several of his projects. In addition to recording and composing, after completing his sound engineering qualification he taught music at the same institute where he studied, contributing to music education as well as performance.

Public profile
Physically, Verma is listed at approximately 178 cm (5'10") and around 70 kg (155 lbs), with black hair and black eyes. He is identified as practicing Hinduism and his zodiac sign is Aries. Over time he has maintained a public presence on digital platforms, including a YouTube channel under his own name where he shares music and related content.

Personal life and family
Gajendra Verma comes from a family involved in arts and education. His father, Surender Verma, has worked as a teacher and engaged in poetry and theatre, while his mother, Chand Verma, is noted as a homemaker. He has an elder brother, Vikram Singh, who is a composer and director and has been a regular collaborator and supporter. Verma is unmarried; his reported association with model and actress Manasi Moghe has been mentioned in public summaries.

Interests and training
Although Verma did not pursue formal vocal training, he attributes his early musical development to family mentorship. He lists hobbies such as travelling, photography and playing the piano. His favorite singers include A. R. Rahman and Lucky Ali, and he favors simple home-style foods such as dal, rice and parantha.

Latest updates
In addition to continuing to release music, Verma remains active on digital channels where his songs and videos have driven much of his contemporary recognition. The success of Tera Ghata in 2018 is one of the more recent high-profile moments referenced in his catalog.
