Iyal was born on 31 May 2016 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She grew up in Chennai and attended Chinmaya Vidyalaya there. Her family includes her father, actor Arjunan Nandakumar, and her mother, Gayathri Arjunan, who is a homemaker. Iyal has a twin brother, Ilan, who also works as an actor.

Iyal made her on-screen debut in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020). Since then she has continued to work in the Tamil film industry and on stage. In 2022 she appeared in the film Mission: Chapter 1 Achcham Enbadhu Illayae and performed in the play Aval Peyar Sakthi.
