She attended Cardinal Gracias High School and went on to study at Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai. Kranti made her acting debut in the Marathi film Soon Asavi Ashi in 2000. Over the following years she appeared in a number of Marathi productions and also worked in Hindi cinema; she was part of Prakash Jha’s film Gangaajal (2003). One of her best-known contributions to Marathi popular culture is the song “Kombdi Palali” from the 2006 film Jatra, which brought widespread recognition.
