Mahhi Vij was born on 1 April 1982 in New Delhi and raised in a Punjabi family. She attended Lilawati Vidya Mandir School in Delhi and went on to graduate from the University of Delhi. Known early on by the nickname Koshu, Mahhi began modelling at 17 and used that platform to transition into acting.

Career

Mahhi’s on-screen debut came in regional cinema in 2004, appearing in the Telugu film Tapana and the Malayalam film Aparichithan. She moved into television in the mid-2000s, with an early acting credit in the Sony TV serial Akela (2006).
