Manyuu Doshi was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He attended Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School in Sion and later studied at R.A. Podar College of Commerce & Economics in Mumbai. He expanded his theatrical training by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Physical Theatre at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California.

Career

Doshi built his foundations in theatre, training in styles including Grotowski's approach and Commedia dell'Arte. After completing his studies he performed extensively across India and on stages in Bali and Indonesia, and he also trained in Sweden. He has been part of a number of notable stage productions, including the play A Tale of Two Treaties, which toured multiple cities in India, and productions such as Char Don Tukde, ILA, and Lucrece, the latter an adaptation of a work by William Shakespeare in which he shared a stage with Kalki Koechlin.

Transitioning into screen work, Doshi made his film debut playing the character Sunny in the 2018 romantic feature Love Per Square Foot. He went on to play Nanasaheb Peshwa (Nana Saheb Peshwa) in the 2019 Marathi film The Warrior Queen of Jhansi and appeared as Chintan in the 2019 Hindi film Photograph alongside a cast that included Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra.

Doshi has also worked in short films, including Mishti Doi (2020) and The Broken Table (2023), the latter featuring Naseeruddin Shah in a leading role. On the streaming front, he appeared as Shiv Swarnakar in the 2023 Amazon Prime Video series Dahaad, a show that screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and was nominated for the Berlinale Series Award.

Beyond acting, Doshi is involved in education and production. He is a member of the faculty at The National School of Drama in Mumbai, where he teaches acting and character work. He also runs a production company, Kaka Creative Company (KCC), which has produced advertising content for the YouTube channel Pataa.
