Early life and background

Abhishek Bensla, known professionally as MC Square, was born on 20 September 1999 in Bhavana, Palwal, Haryana, and grew up in Faridabad. From an early age he showed an interest in science and has said he was fascinated by science textbooks. He completed a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering before moving into the creative fields of music and performance.

Career

MC Square began exploring performance and writing long before his television debut. He wrote poems and ghazals, and over time began layering them with beats. He has worked as a wedding choreographer and taught at academies, and after finishing his degree reportedly held a role as an administrative in-charge at a college.

His stage name stems from his lifelong interest in science: drawing on Einstein’s equation E=mc2, he adopted MC Square to reflect how hip-hop energizes him. MC Square started pursuing rap seriously around 2016 and performed in rap events such as a 2018 appearance where he performed a piece titled “Hip Hop Mazhab.”

MC Square reached a wider audience in 2022 when he took part in the reality show MTV Hustle 2.0. He became a notable contestant on the series and is widely identified with that appearance. During the show he performed songs including “Naina Ki Talwar,” which drew attention from public figures and commentators.

Artistry and creative approach

MC Square’s creative process is rooted in observation. He has described writing songs alone—often on his terrace with tea and views of the Aravali hills—and drawing inspiration from everyday life. One of his songs, “Chehre” (Faces), grew out of watching commuters on the Delhi Metro. His early practice of turning poems and ghazals into rap reflects a hybrid creative path that blends literary forms with hip-hop rhythms.

Public profile

Known for multiple roles in the music scene, MC Square is credited as a rapper, lyricist, composer and choreographer. He is identified by media and his own social presence as the winner of MTV Hustle 2.0 in 2022. His physical profile is described in public sources as approximately 161 cm tall with black hair and black eyes.

Personal life

As of 2022 MC Square is unmarried. His father is named Ashok Lambardar; his mother’s name has not been publicly listed in the available material. He is a Virgo by zodiac sign and holds Indian nationality.

Latest updates
