Early life and backgroundNavneet Singh was born on 13 September 1994 in New Delhi. He grew up in the city and attended Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. After school he studied engineering at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in Dehradun, completing a Bachelor of Technology between 2012 and 2016.
Singh began playing lawn bowls while still at school. He took up the sport around 2010 after encouragement from a physical education teacher at his school, who was herself involved in the sport. Before switching his focus to lawn bowls he played cricket.

Navneet Singh has represented India in international lawn bowls. He was a member of the Indian men’s four at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, competing as the second in the quartet. The team won the silver medal at those Games.
