Ninad Kamat was born on 19 August in Mumbai, India. He grew up in the city that would also become the centre of his professional life. He attended Mithibai College in Mumbai, where he won a Best Actor award during his college years. Music was an early interest for him; he initially intended to pursue singing but was steered toward theatre while at college, which set him on the path to acting.

Career

Kamat launched his performing career on television, making his debut in the serial Campus in 1994 in a role that brought him recognition.
