Early life and background

Noyonita Lodh was born on 8 August 1993 in Bangalore. Raised in the city she continues to call home, she attended The Frank Anthony Public School in Bangalore before moving on to higher studies at St. Joseph's College of Commerce and Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College. She completed a Bachelor in Business Management. Her parents are Shyamal Lodh, who worked in the Indian Air Force, and Gita Mahadevan. She has a sister named Aunishka Lodh.

From an early age Noyonita had a pronounced interest in fashion and stage performance. As a teenager she practiced catwalk technique and posing, developing the presence that would later serve her in pageants and modelling. She lists swimming, reading and travelling among her hobbies.

Career

Noyonita began competing in beauty contests as a young adult, finishing as 2nd runner-up in the MAX Miss Bangalore contest in 2011. While still pursuing her degree, she entered the Miss Diva competition and won the national crown in 2014. That victory led to her representing India at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant, where she reached the Top 15 finalists and was placed among the top five for national costume.

Following her pageant success she established a modelling career. She has walked for major Indian fashion events including Lakmé Fashion Week and the Jio Filmfare runway, and participated in celebrity shows such as the Red Ribbon Revolution Celebrity Fashion Runway. In 2016 she was featured in the Kingfisher Calendar, and she has appeared on magazine covers including Femina and Hair and Beauty India.

Noyonita has also worked in film and short cinema projects. She presented a dance performance in the song "Muchhi Re" for the film Veerappan in 2016 and made her acting debut in the short film My Daughter in 2017. In 2021 she was cast in the Bollywood film Fashion Street, which was slated for release in 2022.
