Paresh Ganatra was born on 19 February 1963 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a Gujarati family. He grew up in the city and completed his schooling at Lions Juhu High School in Mumbai. He pursued higher education in commerce and management, earning a Bachelor of Commerce and later an MBA after studying at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics and K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.
