Early life and backgroundPavail Gulati was born on 14 September 1987 and grew up in Delhi. He attended Bluebells School International in New Delhi and later studied at Whistling Woods International. His family has ties to creative and public-sector work: his father, Kanwar Deepak Gulati, is a retired SBI employee who has also worked as a documentary filmmaker, and his mother, Anju Gulati, has been a producer at a radio station. He has an elder brother, Kanwar Suhail Gulati.
Career
Gulati began his performing life in theatre and received formal acting training under Naseeruddin Shah. He made his film debut in 2010 with Hide and Seek and first appeared on television in the 2014 series Yudh, which brought him broader visibility. Over the next decade he worked across short films, web series, television and feature films, building a reputation for supporting and character roles.
In 2016 he acted in the short film Queen of Hearts and had a small part in the feature Ittefaq, appearing as the character Chirag. In 2018 he appeared in the short film The Other Way, directed by Imtiaz Ali; that project also earned him recognition when it won The Digital Dash award. He was part of the ensemble cast of Kalank (2019), playing the role of Aditya, and appeared in the Amazon Prime web series Made in Heaven (2019).
