Early life and backgroundPearle Maaney was born on 28 May 1989 in Aluva, Kerala. She grew up in a household with a Tamil father and a Malayali mother and completed her schooling at Holy Angels' School in Trivandrum. She went on to study media at Christ University in Bengaluru, graduating with a degree in Media Studies.
From a young age she was involved with performing arts. Her parents enrolled her in classical music lessons when she was a child, and she sang during her college years. She is fluent in Malayalam and Tamil and lists dancing, writing and listening to music among her hobbies.
Career
Pearle began her professional career in television as a host and VJ. She became widely known for anchoring Malayalam entertainment and reality shows, including Yes Jukebox and the popular dance franchise D 4 Dance and its spin-offs. Over the years she hosted several other TV programs such as Taste of Kerala, Cinema Company Season 2, Katturumbu and D 4 Dance Reloaded.
She made her feature film debut in the Malayalam road film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (2013), in which she portrayed a biker girl — a role that resonated with her real-life interest in biking.
