Pritish Narula was born on 26 July in Chandigarh, India. He grew up in a Punjabi family and attended St. Stephen's School in Chandigarh from 1991 to 2000. After finishing school he studied electronics and communication engineering, earning a B.E. from Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering & Technology. He went on to complete an MBA in marketing at the Institute of Management, Nirma University.

During his college years Narula took part in singing competitions, an early indication of his interest in performing. He later moved into a mix of corporate and entrepreneurial work before establishing himself in comedy.

Career

Narula began his professional life in the banking sector. In 2008 he joined Citibank as an Assistant Manager in the cards-assets division and was promoted to Manager in 2010, remaining with the bank for about five years. He then worked at Deutsche Bank for a year starting in 2013.

Alongside and after his time in finance, Narula became involved in several business and creative ventures. In 2014 he began working with Dr Green, a plant nursery founded by his father, Satish Narula. He is also listed as a director of Kisaan Express Private Limited, reflecting his ties to agribusiness-related enterprises.
