Career

In 2022 he drew criticism for remarks he made in a press conference regarding recruitment practices and women, which prompted responses from political opponents. In September 2023 he supported comments made by another political figure about “Sanatana Dharma,” saying that any belief system that discriminates against people cannot be considered a religion; that stance led to legal complaints and further media coverage.
