She later pursued higher education that combined technical and creative study: a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering, a diploma in fashion design, and an eight-month course in statistics. Her formal design training included time at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Hyderabad, and the excerpt also notes study at Harvard University.

From a young age she was drawn to performance; a childhood viewing of the Tamil film Jeans made a lasting impression and helped shape her aspiration to work in film. While beginning her professional life she worked for an MNC in Hyderabad and simultaneously attended evening classes to develop her fashion-design skills.

Jawalkar’s on-screen journey began with short films. After graduation she appeared in short projects including Possessiveness and It Is a Girl Issue, building early experience that preceded her move into feature films. Her credited film debut is the 2017 Telugu movie Kala Varam Aaye.

She was also reportedly approached by director Rahul Sankrityan after seeing her in the film The End, but she declined that particular offer.
