Rahmanullah Gurbaz was born on 28 November 2001 in the Gurbuz district of Khost Province, Afghanistan. He grew up in the same district and attended Sheikh Amir High School, where he completed his studies through 12th grade. His father served as a high school principal and his mother is a homemaker. He has at least one brother, Afsar Ali Saadat, and a cousin named Dawlat Gurbaz, both of whom appear in accounts of his early journey into cricket.
