Early life and background

Renaye Tejani was born on 9 June 2004 and raised in the Lokhandwala neighbourhood of Mumbai. She attended C.P. Goenka International School in Oshiwara. Raised in an Isma'ili household, she grew up watching her mother experiment with recipes, an influence that sparked her lasting interest in baking.

Her family includes her parents, Sam and Arnaaz Tejani, and an older sister, Rheanne Tejani, who works as an actress and food photographer. Renaye has described helping her mother in the kitchen from a young age, which led her to bake for family, friends and neighbours before turning the hobby into a small business.

Career

Renaye’s public career has two main strands: baking and acting. In 2016 she and her sister launched a home bakery brand called Renaye’s Bake Sale, offering cakes, muffins, brownies and cookies. The bakery grew beyond family orders; the business earned recognition in 2021 with multiple industry awards, including Best Social Media Brand and Best Next Gen Brand at the Home Cheffies Power Brand Awards and a Shining Silver Spoon Award at The Silver Spoon Awards.

Alongside her baking work, Renaye has appeared in commercials for brands such as Tanishq and Big Bazaar. She made her screen debut in a supporting role in the Hindi film Cuttputlli, released on Disney+ Hotstar in September 2022, where she was credited as Payal Singh.

Public profile

Renaye combines her baking with philanthropic activity. She has said she uses proceeds from her baking business to support charitable causes, including donations to the Being Human Foundation. She has worked with NGOs to provide food, hygiene items and school supplies to children, and has spoken about wanting to support education for underprivileged youngsters.

Her bakery’s Instagram presence drew attention; one report notes that Salman Khan follows the bakery’s page. Renaye has also named culinary influences such as Nigella Lawson and said she enjoys cake-focused television shows, while citing Salman Khan as a favourite actor.

Personal details

Renaye is Indian by nationality and is unmarried. Her listed physical stats include a height of approximately 163 cm (5 feet 4 inches), a weight around 55 kg (121 lbs), black hair and black eyes. Her zodiac sign is Gemini.

Latest updates
