Career

Bajracharya entered the public eye through beauty pageants. After competing in Miss Nepal 2008 — a year when the event was cancelled amid protests — she continued to pursue modeling and went on to place as first runner-up at Miss Nepal in 2010 and was named Miss Nepal Earth that same year. Her pageant work opened opportunities in advertising and fashion; she signed with brands such as Dabur Special-Lite Hair Oil and appeared in commercials for Sprite, Pashupati Paints, Ganapati Jewellers and Ruslan Vodka.

She represented Nepal on international stages as well, reaching the top 15 at Miss Asia Pacific World 2011 and taking part in Miss Supertalent of the World 2011 in South Korea. In fashion, Bajracharya has worked as a show-stopper for designers including Tenzin Tseten Bhutia and has been featured on multiple magazine covers.

Transitioning into media, she began hosting with a talk-show format when the National Democratic Institute invited her to present an interview-based program focused on women’s issues called Yugantaar. In 2010 she hosted the reality series Mega Model Season 2 on Image Channel. Bajracharya later worked as a video jockey for Kantipur Television Network on the entertainment program Frame by Frame, and subsequently joined Nepal Television Network (NTV) to host Namaste TV.

Beyond presenting and modeling, she has also taken roles as an actress and producer, and has appeared in music videos, including the 2014 video for the song "More Sultan Jiyo" by Harmeet Singh. Her visibility in Nepal’s media landscape included a milestone in 2014 when she became the first woman to appear on the cover of TNM, billed as Nepal’s first full men’s magazine.
