Vishnu Vishal Biography

Early life and background
Vishnu Vishal was born Vishal Kudawla on 17 July 1984 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He grew up in a middle‑class household and spent his school years at Campion Anglo‑Indian Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli. He later attended SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai and holds an MBA in Marketing and Brand Management.

As a youngster he was deeply invested in sport, particularly cricket. Vishnu played in TNCA league matches and was part of India’s Under‑19 set up before a serious leg injury curtailed his ambitions as a professional cricketer. That setback prompted him to explore other interests and ultimately led him toward a career in films.

Career
Vishnu made his acting debut in the 2009 Tamil film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. For that role he trained intensively to authentically portray a kabaddi player, including outdoor conditioning and coaching. Over the following years he built a steady filmography, appearing in titles such as Mundasupatti (2014), Jeeva (2014), Maaveeran Kittu (2016), Ratsasan (2018) and F. I. R. (2021).

His performance as Arun Kumar in the psychological thriller Ratsasan (2018) is cited as one of his notable roles. In addition to acting, Vishnu expanded into film production and established a production company named VV Studioz. Through that banner he has produced several Tamil films, including Katha Nayagan (2017), Silukkuvarupatti Singam (2018) and F. I. R. (2021). He is also credited as a television film producer for Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran (2018).

Public profile
Physically, Vishnu is approximately 175 cm tall (about 5'9") with black hair and black eyes. His personal life has been covered in public records: he married Rajini Natraj on 2 December 2010 and later married Jwala Gutta on 22 April 2021. He has two children: a son named Aryan from his first marriage, and a daughter named Mira, who was born on 22 April 2025. His parents are Ramesh Kudawla, a retired DGP of the Tamil Nadu police, and Asha Kudawla. He has a younger brother, Rudra, and an elder sister, Anchal Kudawla.

Away from work, Vishnu is known to be fitness‑conscious and maintains a regular workout routine. He enjoys traveling and swimming, is fond of dogs and owns a pet named Bambi. He has described himself as having been introverted during his college days and names the actor Rajinikanth among his favourites. He also participates in celebrity sporting events, playing cricket for the Chennai Rhinos in the Celebrity Cricket League and representing Gokulam Chennai Rockers in the Celebrity Badminton League.
