Early life and background
Anand Vijay Kumar, known professionally as VJ Andy, was born on 31 May 1980 in Slough, Berkshire, England. Raised in Slough and listed as calling Winchester home during his school years, he studied at The Westgate School where he took drama, theatre arts and stagecraft. From a young age he trained in dance—beginning Kathak as a child and later studying contemporary styles in college.
