Aadinath Mangeshkar was born on 11 April 1960 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He comes from a Marathi family of Goan origin and is part of the third generation of the Mangeshkar musical lineage. His grandfather, Deenanath Mangeshkar, was a noted Marathi theatre actor and classical vocalist, and his father, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, is a music director. Aadinath’s paternal aunts include Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Khadikar, figures who shaped the musical environment in which he grew up.

He began learning to sing at a young age, taking lessons from his father when he was around seven or eight years old. Growing up surrounded by music and frequent performances, Aadinath soon joined his father on stage and developed a career as a singer.

Aadinath Mangeshkar built a repertoire that spans Marathi and Hindi songs. His Marathi recordings include tracks released in 1982 such as Unhat Pivlya Nhavoo Chala, Aapan Sare Ithech Rahu and Vechun Aanli Kadi Kadi.
